BACK HISTORY ON ITS OWNER
My name is Adam Frost, I have been playing for 15 years and teaching for 10 years. I have had the privilege to perform and tour the US in acts that range from Folk, Indie, Modern Country, and Metal. Though performing and touring is an amazing experience I really found a true passion in teaching. I discovered seeing others succeed because of the help I had given them was incredibly empowering and it to this day still is and adds such a massive purpose in my life, as I feel I truly am making a difference in the world by making a difference in my students lives. Having taught professionally for this many years and having a tenacious spirit, I have studied genres and players that range from Bach to modern Metal and R&B styles.
I pursued music at UNT, leaving in my junior year to Tour and perform full time and develop my teaching practice. If you are just a beginner or a more advanced player looking to study the likes of say Jason Richardson, Polyphia or the assortment of amazing players out there, I can definitely help. Though I am experienced in Jazz, it is not a genre I really am aimed at teaching predominantly but have great referrals to those that can. My teaching style is best fitted with individuals that either has a strong willingness to constantly be learning and progressing and or a solid support system that helps keep them on target.
Competitions I have had the privilege to be involved
2013 Dweezil Zappa's Annual Creative guitar competition (Top 3 finalists)
2013 SamAsh BEST IN SHRED 2013 Winner
2014 Guitar Idol (Upper Bracket of top 100) finalists
